The Great River Road Museum of Contemporary Art is situated on the historic Great River Road in scenic Potosi, WI. Our mission is to provide the public with quality exhibits of world class art. Along with changing art exhibits (paintings, sculptures, photography) a not to be missed depiction of the Mississippi River is an approximately 40′ x 12′ mural painted by Chicago artist Joshua Kalfus. It captures the essence of the river, the bluffs, and a variety of wildlife associated with the region. As one viewer expressed it, “The next best thing to actually being on the river.” We welcome the participation of all artists of the Great River Road, from New Orleans to Minneapolis.
