Geocaching
The Wisconsin Great River Road offers excellent geocaching opportunities. For those unfamiliar with geocaching, it is an exciting outdoor game in which players use a handheld GPS unit to find hidden treasures, called “caches.” Dozens of caches are hidden at points up and down the Wisconsin Great River Road. Caches are often hidden in historic places, scenic overlooks and other interesting places.
